- Short term contract until April 2025 with possible extension

- Base salary $90,000.00

The Client
This organisation serves an Indigenous community of approximately 1,400 people, offering vital services such as aged care, childcare, airport operations, and housing construction and maintenance. Located on Cape York, this organisation prides itself on its community focus and delivering quality services.
The Opportunity
As the Asset and Facilities Officer, you’ll play a key role in managing the assets and facilities, including maintaining the Asset Management System, scheduling asset condition assessments, and ensuring smooth housing allocations for staff. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Services, this dynamic role involves liaising with stakeholders, ensuring compliance, and delivering high-quality outcomes for the community.
Key responsibilities include:
- Administering the Asset Management System
- Managing staff housing inventories and overseeing maintenance
- Facilitating asset condition assessments and valuations
- Supervising contractors and coordinating cleaning operations
- Providing accurate reporting for management and external stakeholders
About You
We are looking for someone with:
- 3-5 years’ experience in asset, facilities, or contract management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- A customer-focused approach with the ability to build positive relationships
- Experience in local government or regional work (desirable)
Tertiary qualifications in commerce or business management are a bonus but not essential.
